The paper describes some of the differences between households with migrant relatives and households without migrant relatives. In order to do so, a Human Development Index (idh) is presented for each type of household (with or without migrant relatives), which goes to prove that individuals with direct migrant relatives have a poorer standard of living than households with no migrant relatives.
